Yoga Cruise Q&A with Kim!
Kim Manfredi, the founder of Charm City Yoga, is teaching a class out on the high seas!
The Yoga Yacht Cruise is happening on Saturday, June 30th from 8:30-10:30am. It’s only $35, and you’ll save $5 if you sign up before June 18th!
Kim is here to answer your questions about this unique, amazing experience!
Where will we sail off to?
We will sail out past the Key Bridge as far as Fort Carroll island depending on the weather. Along the way, you’ll see Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, Fort McHenry, and the Baltimore cityscape! Baltimore City has been very busy lately preparing for the Sailabration and the Inner Harbor has never been better!
How early should I arrive?
The cruise leaves promptly at 8:30am and you can start boarding at 8:00am.
Tell me more about this luxurious yacht!
The Raven is a homage to The Ravens and Edgar Allen Poe! It is a brand new yacht that was custom-designed after popular 1920s steamships and is 99 feet long and 28 feet wide.
Will I be able to keep posture on the yacht?
The Raven is a large, stable yacht and the waters of the harbor are very calm. In Savasana you mat be able to notice the calming motions of the waters, but in standing posture you will well supported and stable!
I am new to yoga…will I be able to take this class?
This is an early morning class designed to invigorate you and bring energy into your body. Still, you will be fine with even a basic understanding of yoga.
What food will be available for purchase?
Yogurt, fruit, juice, granola…all natural and all available!
Will we be practicing directly under the sun?
The Raven has a retractable roof that we will use depending on the weather.
Have you ever been on a yoga cruise?
I have practiced yoga in the mountains, in the desert, on a mud floor in India, and a penthouse of a high rise overlooking the city, but I’ve never practiced on the water! I am very excited to experience yoga in another interesting context.
What happens if I’ve already paid and I’m a Sail into Summer contest winner?
Any winners that have already paid will definitely be reimbursed! Be sure to register before June 18th to get the $30 deal!
What’s something I may not expect about the yoga cruise?
I’ve learned that experiencing your city from a larger perspective is eye-opening and inspiring! Also, doing yoga outside always has surprising results and is very energizing.
